Campus Worship Night

In April student leaders from the Christian student organization Credo organized a worship and prayer night on the campus of KTH Royal Institute of Technology. There are Credo small group Bible studies on four of the major universities in Stockholm and several times a year they all come together. There was a real joy present in the room, and sense of connection in Christ as the students sang and prayed together.
It was an honor that the leader team asked me to preach, and it was a first me to share the Gospel on a university campus. After the event I had opportunity to speak at length with several students and went home feeling so blessed to witness how God is moving in the lives of the students.
On May 12th, Credo leaders on the campus of the Royal Institute of Technology hosted a lunch seminar on Science and Christianity. Tobias (center) is a physicist and gave the seminar making a case that science and faith do not need to be in conflict with one another. Scientific inquiry can point us to God and the beauty, order, and logic of what he has created. I was impressed to learn he has already published a book on Christian apologetics. Henrik (far left) and Hugo (second from right) were busy all morning making sandwiches for the free lunch they offered. Then they stood for an hour before the seminar inviting people to join. In all some 25 students joined in the seminar and stayed around for conversation afterwards.
As I was reflecting on how these students share their faith, it struck me that they were just being themselves and it was so refreshing. It was so clear that they are fascinated by the science they do, and equally with the wonder of the God who creates and made it possible for us to know his personal love through Christ. I wonder how their witness can be an encouragement to us as we seek to authentically love and share the good news with the people in our lives?
