Regional Coordinators in London

In mid September all the Regional Coordinators (RC’s) of Serve Globally gathered at the Highbury Centre in London to learn from each other, vision for the future and connect in fellowship and prayer. Though we had all met each other at larger Covenant events, this was my first RC gathering where we had extended time together. And what a joy it was to be with these dear colleagues! Their warmth, humor and wisdom really blessed me. I was encouraged by the stories of how God is at work in each of their regions and seeing a bigger picture of our global partnerships.

Next to me is Chrissy Palmerlee who is Senior Director of Serve Globally and joined us from Chicago to facilitate our meetings. Back left is Hannah Baker, RC for the Middle East and North Africa. Letha Kerl is my direct colleague sharing leadership for Europe. Front and center are RC’s for Latin America, Eugenio and Pia Restrepo. Far right are Tip and Patrick Boonrang who live in Thailand and are RC’s for Asia. And Josef Rasheed serves as RC for Africa.

Throughout our time together each of us was invited to share about our life and ministry and  receive prayer. I was struck by how this group has created such a hospitable place to share and receive support.

We had a lovely afternoon on the town exploring London with lots of time for conversation and connection. This day ended with a lovely dinner at a historical pub called the May Flower on the banks of the Thames.

Please keep the Regional Coordinator team in your prayers as we seek to equip each other in our ministries, support our global personnel, and seek to discern our role in how God is leading Serve Globally in the future.
