Credo leaders connection

At the beginning of the spring term leaders from Credo gathered from four of the university campuses in Stockholm to encourage each other, share their story and pray together. Each of the leaders pictured here leads a small group on their campus and over the past two years they have seen a growing interest among their peers to explore the Christian faith and experience deeper community. They also networked together to host an Alpha course on the campus of the Technical University and were amazed at how much interest there was. There was an excitement in the air as they shared stories about how God is moving on their campuses.

One of the strengths of Credo is that it is ecumenical and invites students from various church backgrounds to network together for the common goal of deepening their relationship with Christ and welcoming new students with the hopeful message of the gospel. We are witnessing the spiritual growth of leaders as they step out in faith and try new initiatives, guide small groups and learn how to articulate the reason for their hope outside the comfort of the local church context. Credo is doing amazing work through empowering students and discipling the present and future leaders of the church. Join me in praying for Credo in Sweden, these amazing students and for God to continue to open doors on their campuses that the hope of the Gospel will reach more students.

I mentioned in a previous update about a student named Teo (back right) who is a student at the Swedish Defense University. He has been active in Credo, supporting a small group and Alpha courses at two other universities in Stockholm. And yet he was feeling led to start a small group on his campus. For three months we gathered for prayer walks around his campus. He shared on Instagram and put up bulletins in the commons. And for several months there was no response. And then at the beginning of the spring term several students reached out with an interest in forming a prayer/study group. The picture above was the first gathering and you can see the joy in Teo’s face to experience this group coming together.

Pray for Teo as he seeks God’s leading in forming this group and reaching out to students and his campus.
